Mecca Bingo Launches National Cross-Channel Slots Tournament with Huge Prizes
10th July 2025: On Saturday 21 June, Mecca Bingo welcomed players from around the UK to its Beeston club for the grand final of the brand’s third national cross-channel slots tournament.
Held at the venue on Queens Road, which underwent a major investment in July 2024, the event is sponsored by leading UK games studio Blueprint Gaming and brings together Mecca’s online and in-club customers from across Britain.
To secure their place at the grand final event, players took part in a series of qualifying rounds both at meccabingo.com and in Mecca’s venues. The 16 successful finalists (eight online players and eight club entrants) were then invited to Mecca Beeston for their chance to win a share of £25,000, including a £10,000 top prize for the overall winner.
It’s the first time that the Nottinghamshire venue has played host to the event. The evening saw guests welcomed with a drinks reception before players entered into a series of head-to-head knockout games, with the winner of each round progressing towards the final and the £10,000 prize.
The overall winner has asked to remain anonymous but she is known to be both an online player and visitor to Mecca’s Burton-on-Trent club, just 27 miles from where the final was held.
Robert Lee, head of Meccabingo.com commented; “The purpose of these tournaments is to bring our communities together and we’re delighted that one of our cross-channel players scooped the top prize! It was also exciting to bring the tournament to our Beeston club for the first time, the atmosphere was fantastic.”
The tournament came to a close at 11pm with the crowd cheering as the winner was presented with her £10,000 cheque and a bottle of bubbly.
All the finalists and their guests enjoyed an overnight stay and walked away with goodie bags, a bottle of bubbly and a free session of bingo and more chances to win on the night and again the following day. Quarter-finalists netted a healthy £1,000, while semi-finalists were awarded £2,000. The runner-up took home £5,000 and the big £10,000 cash prize went to the overall winner!
Robert Lee, head of Meccabingo.com said: “The night was a great success, with lots of cash prizes and a fantastic opportunity to bring our online and in-club communities together. We’re already planning our next tournament in November.”
Jack Lawson, senior account manager, Blueprint Gaming said: “It is a real pleasure to continue to be involved in sponsoring Mecca Bingo's latest slots tournament and providing the games on what proves to be an entertaining evening. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with players and showcase our latest titles in an exciting, live environment. A big thank you to Mecca Bingo for their continued support and the opportunity, and to the incredible team at Beeston who were excellent hosts on the evening."
Mecca members can now play both in club and online with a single Mecca membership. Look out for information on www.meccabingo.com and in Mecca venues to find out how to get involved in the next tournament
